Divorce Court Show Plot
Before the current season, all of the previous seasons of Divorce Court were played out as reenactments of real divorce cases. When the show was brought back for another season, its format was based on reality arbitration. With the start of the 16th season in September 1999, the show’s fourth and current version hit the air for the first time.
By that time, almost all court shows had changed to a model in which former judges or lawyers actually arbitrated real small claims cases. This trend was started by The People’s Court and made more popular by Judge Judy’s high ratings. Divorce Court changed the way it worked to match how other courts did it.
Who Is The Judge For Divorce Court Season 24?
Jenkins will be replaced by Star Jones, who was a prosecutor and district attorney in Brooklyn, New York. The 40th season of the court show will start on September 19, 2022. From August 22, 2022, she was in charge. In the series, Jones will be the judge in a variety of cases, such as divorce court hearings and personal disputes.

Jones called herself “Judge Star” and talked about how she made decisions in court. Jones is a senior assistant district attorney who worked as a prosecutor in New York for five years. He has a strong background in law and will be a good judge. She has been on Today, NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, CNN, Court TV, TruTV, and Inside Edition as a legal correspondent.
Jones used to be a part of the court show genre, so she had her own courtroom show called Jones & Jury. Jones was the first person of colour to be in charge of a court show, the first woman to be an arbitrator on TV, and only the second TV arbitrator in history (Joseph Wapner being the first). But the show only ran for one season before it was cancelled (1994–1955).
